Product Marketing Manager

GasBuddy is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to help grow its software-as-service business for the fuel and convenience retail industry. This role is a strategic, hands-on, marketing position that requires a track record of successfully introducing new products to market. The ideal candidate has developed successful go-to-market strategies, articulated compelling market positioning based on product distinctions, crafted messaging with marketing communications and sales teams, and understands how to align Marketing, Product, and Sales teams to effectively identify prospects, nurture leads, and close opportunities throughout a product’s lifecycle.

As a Product Marketing Manager, you will work closely with sales, product development, brand marketing and marketing communications to ensure the go-to-market strategy and marketing lifecycle are aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate has some experience developing top-of-the-funnel content and sales tools including product literature, client-facing presentations and other sales enablement curriculum. We’re looking for an energetic product marketing whiz who can arm our sales team with everything they need to take this solution to the next level in an exciting market.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Expertly crafted value propositions: Develop a compelling value proposition for the Saas solutions (internally and externally) which deftly balances the technical details with the business benefits. Drive value-based selling of key products by developing and managing go-to-market initiatives that are solution-oriented
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market
  • Deliver a compelling vision which incorporates key input from customers, sales, product management, marketing communications and others to influence solution marketing strategy and planning, the analyst & press community, and product definition
  • Product launch – plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan, including strategizing with marketing, public relations, sales, operations and executive team
  • Market intelligence – be the expert on our target buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria
  • Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition of GasBuddy’s products to the sales team and develop the sales assets that support the selling process of our products
  • Demand generation - develop the strategy, implement and manage the marketing programs that drive demand/qualified leads, including content, webinars, nurturing campaigns, and whitepapers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or other related field
  • 5+ years of successful history in product marketing
  • Experience in writing and presenting to executive decision makers
  • Thrive under pressure and respond well to deadlines
  • Ability to manage strategic plans and day-to-day tactical execution with assigned stakeholders
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties
  • Ability to fight for best possible consumer experience at ALL levels
